National Muscle Car Association: To hot-rodders and drag racing fans around the world, nothing says muscle car and automotive high performance like Michigan. Nestled in amongst the Great Lakes, this Midwestern state is the home of the “big three” auto manufacturers, big city street cruises, hundreds of famous builders and racers and so much more.
Simply put, Michigan is “Mecca East” for the performance car fraternity. It’s to this historic state that the Hot Rod Magazine Power Festival featuring the National Muscle Car Association is heading for this coming weekend’s Michigan Muscle Mania event at beautiful U.S. 131 Raceway Park. Located in Martin, Michigan, this track has recently undergone an extensive multi-million dollar renovation, and is one of the finest racing facilities in the country.
With 13 exciting classes of racing on tap, as well as a number of other attractions for the “go-fast-and-look-good-doing-it” crowd, this highly anticipated visit by the bad boys and girls of Street Legal drag racing on June 28 & 29 is sure to send shockwaves throughout the Michigan countryside.
The event, No. 5 on the 2003 NMCA schedule, marks the official mid-point of the season, and with copious amounts of money and prestige on the line, the action out on the quarter-mile is sure to get red-hot. More at: nmca-racing.com
